Our client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Financial Controller to work out of their Head Office in Nottinghamshire. The successful candidate will support the finance team to ensure the delivery of business objectives through the provision and interpretation of key management information. What you'll be doing day to day
• Overseeing the production of monthly management accounts and general ledger reconciliations
• Ensuring that accurate and timely financial information is provided to support the commercial and operational staff across the business
• Working closely with the Group Financial Controller to produce budgets and forecasts
• Carrying out financial analysis, reviewing complex data and providing detailed and meaningful reports for non-finance and finance audiences
• Promoting good financial management, accountability, efficiency and value for money
• Preparing accounts in readiness for year-end; including accruals, prepayments, salary reconciliations and audit schedules
• Assisting in the preparation of the annual report and year end accounts
• Appraising financial controls / processes and liaising with the internal audit function
• Undertaking other tasks as requested by the Chief Financial Officer and Group Financial Controller to assist in the smooth running of the department The ideal experience they are looking for
• Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with circa 2 years Post Qualification Experience
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Track record in leading the production of management accounts, forecasts, financial plans and budgets
• Technically astute, with a solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards and able to demonstrate excellent core accounting skills
• Excellent attention to detail The personal attributes

• Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence
