Head Of Accounts Payable/ Retail Sector/ Stock Experience/ Competitive Salary Bonus/ Free Parking/ Excellent Benefits (Private Health Care, Industry Discounts, 25 Days Holiday BHs) My industry leading client are looking for a Head of Accounts Payable to oversee their growing purchase ledger function. This is a fantastic opportunity for somebody who wants to join a company during a critical growth period, adding value in the process. The role will require somebody with drive and vision to enhance and improve process with the view to further support the company's growing success. Managing a team of 12, this role will be very hands on and rewarding. Job Description: Lead and manage a team of 9 Purchase Ledger Clerks and 3 senior supervisors Set a clear direction for the team in terms of process - implementing change as required Management of relationships with both stock and none stock suppliers Identifying personal development needs within the team - creating an environment and culture that supports progression and development Build and maintain relationships with global suppliers - meeting regularly to ensure a mutual understanding of process's, requirements and business Review current processes, identifying areas for improvement and driving forward positive change Putting in place best practice processes to support the business Implement systematic change to prevent processing issues Acting as the key escalation point for serious queries and supplier disputes, resolving issues and maintaining relationships as a result Working with the team to proactively reduce volumes of supplier queries and disputes Build wider business relationships - develop a wider understanding of working practice across different departments to understand how processes effect the purchase ledger function and vice versa Develop reporting into the wider business KPI monitoring Implement processes to manage a growing payables function Requirements: Experience within a similar capacity - Exposure within the retail sector is highly advantageous although not essential Proven experience of process improvement and implementation Stock and none stock exposure Experience of working within a large, growing and ever changing business environment Excellent communication and relationship building skills - both internally and externally Ability to provide complex reporting to the wider business Strong leadership skills - the ability to identify strengths and weaknesses - acting upon these as required Ability to enhance culture and environment, supporting development and improvement Confidence to drive forward change Ability to identify process and control improvements Problem and dispute resolution skills Strong Excel and computerised systems skills This is a challenging yet rewarding role that will provide the successful candidate with a high level of job satisfaction.
