An exciting opportunity has become available for a Finance Assistant to join their friendly team in Alfreton. Job description for Finance Assistant This busy Finance Assistant role requires someone with the ability to quickly build relationships, prioritise conflicting deadlines and work well under pressure. You will be responsible for Purchase Ledger, Subcontract Ledger and General Administration tasks including: Managing invoices, material sheets, statements and delivery notes Taking calls from subcontractors Managing subcontractor documents Dealing with QS payment notices Finance administration Undertaking account reconciliations Answer price, subcontractor ledger and purchase ledger queries Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work in a small finance team of 6, contributing to the provision of an efficient accounting service. Requirements for the Finance Assistant Level 2 AAT qualified or 2 years' purchase ledger experience in a busy, demanding finance team in the private sector Excellent organisational and time management skills A diligent and supportive team player Ability to work on own initiative Good written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills A good level of IT literacy - Excel skills essential Friendly and approachable customer service skills
