Financial Controller - Exciting opportunity to develop and manage a busy operational finance team function within a long established, rapidly expanding and forward-thinking company.

Introduction/Job Overview:

They are seeking a finance professional to join their team to manage the day to day finance functions and ensure that the staff are supported in their roles. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role will be involved in all financial aspects as well as the long-term operational targets for the business.

Responsibilities:
Preparation of the monthly/quarterly and annual accounting reports for the business. Conclusion of the above in time for review of monthly results by the Head of Finance Monitoring of financial controls around stock and WIP and supporting production in inventory management. Identify improvement opportunities and plan formulation for the inception of benefits Maintain rolling three monthly cashflow forecast of management and board report Preparation of VAT returns Maintenance of key accruals and prepayments for overheads. Liaison with external auditors when required Maintain standard finance procedures across the business Requirements: Qualified accountant or, Qualified by experience Cross-functional team player and self-starter Ability to get behind data and analyse margins and report on sales trends Develop reporting from Sage and statistical analysis and MI information for wider business use and understanding Track record of delivering quality output to tight reporting deadlines by challenging existing processes and systems Advanced Microsoft excel skills and Experience with Sage 50 would be an advantage A solution focused, forward thinker with excellent leadership qualitied.
