I have a new opportunity available for my client who are based in Bishop's Stortford. We are looking for an experienced Finance Assistant who has a proven background within finance / accounts and is ideally AAT qualified. The successful candidate will be numerical, have good Excel skills and have the ability to use their own initiative. My client can offer you a competitive salary and benefits including 23 days holiday, pension contribution, flexible working and learning and development opportunities. The working hours for this role are 37.5 hours, Monday to Friday. Key duties for the Finance Assistant; Collate monthly expenses, consulting invoices and creditor invoices Process all creditor invoices and post on the accounting system with accurate coding - match against PO Raise Purchase Orders as per company process and record on the accounting system Process expenses following company expense procedure particularly reconciling expenses with receipts submitted Produce weekly Purchase Order analysis sheet on Excel Produce expenditure analysis on Excel on monthly basis or as required Obtain approval for all expenses and invoices prior to being released for payment Produce creditor list for weekly payments Carry out monthly Barclaycard reconciliation Assist in creating Fee Invoices & Credit Notes for monthly billing cycle Deal with customer queries and invoice/debtor investigations as requested Set up bank account templates Assisting with monthly control account reconciliations Assisting with quarterly VAT Returns Assisting with year-end audit, annual budget and quarterly reviews as required Office administrative tasks such as booking flights etc. If you have the relevant skills and experience for this role, please apply.
