Our client is a £100m turnover UK Manufacturing business operating in the North West. They are currently recruiting for a commercially minded Site Accountant to act as the on site Finance presence, who will operate in a genuine finance business partner capacity, engaging with the entire operation, whilst identifying best practices and areas for improvement. In what is an exciting and varied commercial role, responsibilities will include: - Daily/Weekly/Monthly reporting - Attending Daily operations meetings - Presenting internally and to the board on operational performance including analysis and areas for improvement and of success - Development of KPIs - Managing the Capital Investment Approval process and ROI analysis - Developing Costings and Maintaining Production Standards - Working with IT to implement new Warehousing and / or manufacturing systems - Continuous improvement and Commercial analysis - identifying areas for potential investment, labour/machinery savings etc - Monthly budget review and Operations Board Reporting - Reviewing and Reconciling Variances from Stock Counts - Weekly and Monthly Payroll preparation (processing done centrally) - Other ad hoc support to finance and operations team Our client wants to consider applicants who are Qualified or in the final stages of studying towards a formal qualification such as CIMA, but applicants must have previous Financial Accounting experience, ideally having previously operated in a similar profile role for a fast paced Manufacturing business. As the role involves liaising with a variety of teams, you must have strong communication skills and will have confidence and credibility when dealing with non-finance budget holders. Strong MS Excel skills are essential as you will need to be comfortable with manipulation of large data sets.
