Global engineering, construction, and services company is seeking a Group Financial Controller for a circa 6 months contract role based in Leatherhead as a part of the Energy Services Division and the role has the potential to move from a temporary position to a permanent position, however long term contract is also agreeable. The main skills and experience required is 5-10 years PQE and experience of working in a multi-site international organisation . The Group Financial Controller will be qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA . You will be proficient in manipulating data, both in Excel and a consolidation tool, ideally Hyperion . Ideally from the energy sector, however this is not essential, project accounting experience would be an advantage. The Group Financial Controller reports to the CFO an d will be responsible for the following:- Responsible for financial management and financial governance of the Global Energy Services Division Comprising of the operations in EMEA, Americas, APAC and the Global Consulting Group with annual turnover of approximately $1bn Provision of support to the Operations Management of the Services Division. This to include the driving of operational improvements including- Reduction in working capital balances; improvement in operating cashflow; management of chargeability; monitoring of profitability by office Consolidation and preparation of monthly management reports with insightful commentary; production of plans, budgets and forecasts; improve provision of insightful information and commercial support to help drive decision making Support the Corporate Finance Accounting Improvement Plan, actively engaging with all initiatives and implementing improvements Create maximum value through strongly controlled, efficient and effective business processes; through accurate, timely, consistent and relevant information and analysis; through being an aligned business partner and advisor, supporting the business suggesting and implementing solutions as needed; through supporting and driving common strategy which helps to build business acumen Be an active member of the Leadership Team driving and shaping process improvements and leading by example Driving compliance and governance in day to day activities and ensure compliance with SOX and anti-corruption requirements Ensuring all balance sheet risks and opportunities are known, appropriately communicated and treated Provide Finance support and mentorship across the division as needed Build sound working relationships with broader Global Finance Our role in supporting diversity and inclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
