One of Sheffield's leading companies is expanding its finance team due to company growth with an Assistant Financial Controller on a 12 month FTC.
This company prides itself on its innovative solutions for clients and requires the skill of a new Assistant Accountant to help manage its finances. Based in central Sheffield, this job offers great opportunity for future career progression within the company.
Your new role
As an Accounts Assistant you will be assisting the Financial Controller and the rest of the team with the monthly accounts.
The job will involve: processing payments and invoices, monitoring client balances, creating journal entries, balance reconciliation, preparation of quarterly VAT returns, ad-hoc requests and project work.
What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have worked in the insurance market before and have experience with debits and credits or be studying towards one of: AAT CIMA ACCA.
In addition, this accounts assistant will need to demonstrate initiative, flexibility, resourcefulness and good time keeping. Excellent communication skills and an appropriate level of technical skills will also need to be demonstrated within this role.
