Salary:

An opportunity has opened for an experienced Finance Manager to run and oversee a busy accounts team including all aspects of sales and purchase ledger, credit control, property, utilities, VAT, employment legislation, working with our payroll outsource provider and other duties that may arise. Key skills Knowledge of financial accounting procedures. Experience with Access Dimensions would be an advantage. Accuracy and attention to detail is essential. Must be discreet and able to maintain confidentiality at all times. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to manage a busy workload independently. An excellent team player, conscientious and motivated to support other members of the team. Key duties Schedule and assign work to the accounts office team. Ensure all payments are correct and settled by their due date. Reconcile Company bank accounts and cash book. Assist Company accountants with preparation of internal management and financial reports. Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns. Ensure VAT, Corporation Tax payments and other statutory obligations are met. Completion of Audit office statistical returns. Monthly payroll and statutory returns. Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with current employment legislation. Administration of the Company's commercial property portfolio. Maintain payment programmes for rent, service charge, insurance and business rates. Reconcile all property related payments to property income. Monitor all Company utility and service invoices, negotiating contracts and cost savings
