My client is looking for a qualified (by exam or experience) Accountant to support them in the running of a busy practice on a day to day basis. Bringing with you a wealth of experience in general practice accounting you will most likely have worked in a small to medium sized firm and carry a wealth of expertise in year end statutory accounting, tax compliance, management accounts and client management. Your role supporting the Partner will see you assisting not only with their work but managing your own portfolio as well as overseeing the work of the team. Ensuring the WIP and billing is managed efficiently along with providing training needs as and when within the team and review of accounts. The practice is growing and those that have an appetite for business development will have plenty of encouragement to network, however this is not essential should you prefer to stay "back-office". The ability to manage clients, build relationships and handle any difficult situations in the Partners absence is essential. Commercial maturity and the ability to resolve a problem before it escalates is paramount and really only comes from time and experience gained in your career to date. Longer term the chance to reach Partner and eventually take over the practice is readily available for those with the ambition and desire to want to run your own business.
