Robertson Bell Finance are recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant for a Public Sector organisation based in Bedford. This is an initial 6-month contract with potential to extend after this time. As the Interim Management Accountant, you will report into the Head of Finance and provide financial advice across the organisational. You will have line management responsibility of one member of staff. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to: Oversee the production of the monthly management account pack. To lead on the budget preparation and budget monitoring process. Build and maintain strong working relationship with stake holders to be able to provide solid financial advice. Support the Head of Finance on revenue and capital budget monitoring throughout the year. Continually review and make suggestions to improve current organisational process and procedures. In applying for this role, it is essential that you are a fully qualified accountant (CCAB/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and have significant experience within the management accounting remit to be able to hit the ground running. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to build solid working relationship with a variety of stakeholders across the business. Ideally, you will have worked within the public sector, but this is not essential. You will need to be immediately available or on a short notice period to be considered for this role.
