A Hertfordshire local authority is looking for an interim asset surveyor to assist the infrastructure manager in providing a comprehensive planned, preventative and reactive maintenance service for all the Council's non-housing property portfolio, land, plant and machinery maintenance together with procurement and monitoring of maintenance and facilities contracts and to deliver capital projects on time and within budget. You will be required to deliver capital projects on time and within budget. Provide facilities management advise as well as building maintenance advise underpinned by relevant condition surveys, schedules of dilapidation/condition, building insurance valuations. You will also be providing a responsive and managed repair service for the Council's land and property holdings (including play equipment, MUGAs, etc.) You will be overseeing a team of six staff with three direct reports covering repairs, maintenance and facilities management services. We are looking for candidates that have extensive experience in the above, with up to date working knowledge of relevant legislation's and standards. Experience of working in a similar role with a approximately 5 years' experience.
