A fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant looking to solidify and apply both their technical and commercial accounting skills and experience in a fast-pace business

Description

-Produce management accounts and other reporting for the group

-Run the month end close timetable, making changes where possible to streamline and improve process and control.

-Oversee day-to-day transaction processing and accounting for all companies within scope to ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant GAAP and any regulatory requirements.

-Accountability for balance sheet control (including risk assessment) as part of the month end close process.

-Development and maintenance of policies and procedures for intra-group balance reporting and control.

-manage the external audit process, and produce the group and subsidiary year end stat accounts.

-Management accounting lead for a number of cost centres.

-Provide support to the business and the Commercial Finance team on appropriate accounting treatments

-Assist the Financial Controller with ad-hoc project and other stakeholder requests

Profile

The successful candidate will be:

-ACA, ICAS, ACCA or CIMA qualified

-Industry experience from either a group or subsidiary role.

-Have a "hands on approach" but also be able to stand back, identify what needs to be done and formulate a plan to get it done.

-Demonstrable experience to lead, manage and develop a team of high quality staff.

-Self-starter with a desire to work hard and drive through change where needed.

-Organised approach to work with ability to manage a wide variety of outputs, and deliver against continual tight deadlines.

-Have a track record of being able to spot and solve problems with pragmatic solutions.

-Good understanding of commercial and financial risk, financial processes and how to operate a strong internal control environment.

-Solid communication and relationship building skills at all levels within the business.

-Good technical accounting skills, and the ability to research and conclude on accounting treatments where necessary.

-Strong IT skills.

Job Offer

Basic salary of £45,000-£55,000
