An excellent opportunity has arisen to join a national business based in West Lothian as an Assistant Management Accountant. The Company This innovative and multi-faceted business group is undoubtedly one the of the market leaders within their sector with skills in delivering special projects across a multitude of different business sectors. The business has significantly expanded in recent years due to the growth of the sectors in which they operate. The Role The position of Assistant Management Accountant is a business-critical position for the company and will report straight into the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for providing the business will real time information and finance business partnering with key stakeholders to support commercial and operational decisions to be made on fact and not just gut. The business is happy to look at candidates that are at any stage of their professional accounting qualification On Offer The role of Assistant Management Accountant will offer a salary of £25,000 - £30,000 plus a competitive benefits package including study support for candidates that are actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA. The offices are based in West Lothian with parking available onsite. You will be responsible for but not restricted to the following duties: Reporting to the Finance Manager To support the production of monthly management accounts To liaise with commercial staff to assist with the preparation of management accounts To assist in the preparation of data for cash flow purposes To review contract performance and investigate variances To ensure that the accounting records of the company are accurate and reliable, performing reconciliations To prepare journals for use in the production of management accounts To prepare recharging journals for the new internal Business Support department To help prepare the annual budget for Scotland To aid the quarterly reforecasting exercise To assist preparing invoices on a weekly basis To prepare claim documentation in line with certain projects. To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience: Part qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ICAS/ICAEW or equivalent) Experience in sectors such engineering, manufacturing or FMCG would be advantageous Advanced user of Excel and ideally exposure to ERP systems Ability to analyse problems and offer solutions Able to work on their own initiative, within established procedures and as part of a team Excellent verbal and written communication skills Please do not hesitate to contact Andrew Robinson for a private & confidential discussion regarding this exciting opportunity.
