Here's how this role will help:
• Design audit programs and testing procedures in accordance with auditing principles.
• Ensure accounting transactions and balances are recorded in accordance with US generally accepted accounting principles and company policy.
• Ensure compliance, quality and operational processes are functioning efficiently, effectively and in accordance with company policy.
• Review work papers to ensure work performed supports conclusions and is organized in accordance with company standards.
• Assist with the training, development, and mentoring of more junior staff from a professional (e.g. communication skills) and technical (e.g. accounting and auditing knowledge base through staying current with current industry activity and accounting and auditing pronouncements) perspective.
• Effective communication of audit and special project scope, status, findings and recommendations with management (local, regional, and corporate).
• Draft audit and special project reports detailing audit scope, findings, and recommendations.
• Develop strong relationships with finance and operations managers, controllers, business CFOs and other regional and global leaders of the company, while maintaining objectivity.
• Create value to the company through the identification of process improvements or sharing best practices from an accounting, finance and operational perspective.

By doing so, we will continue to set new standards in health care. Here are the minimum qualifications and essential functions for this position:
• Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
• Audit experience in public accounting or a combination of public and Internal Audit experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of US generally accepted accounting principles and auditing standards and basic knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• The following certificates are preferred for the role: Chartered Accountant, CPA or CIA
• Advanced Computer skills - Excel, Word, and PowerPoint Why Mylan?
