MD of successful, well established and fast growing, privately owned business with c£15m turnover seek a hands on, but commercial number one in finance. This role will suit a qualified accountant (exceptional QBE's may be considered) who has operated in an expanding and sales lead, service based SME. Adding commercial operational value from a finance perspective and driving operating margins is the key focus. My client is keen to find a hands on individual who has the ability to develop their team through effective delegation and to be able to help the business focus on continuing to grow and leverage operating margin effectively. Working closely with the senior management team will add a balance of commercial business involvement to the standard financial control aspect of the job. This is a diverse role which includes management of a team of 5 (1 qual and 1 finalist) and the full monthly management accounts and statutory reporting cycle. You will take control of the bank relationships and manage cashflow and the rolling forecasting and budgeting cycle. The ideal candidate will be a communicative and robust individual able to stand their ground in discussing the commercial viability of projects with operational management.
