I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Accountant to join a successful and growing business based in Denbighshire. Reporting to the Management Accountant you will play an integral role in a busy finance team. Duties will include: Assist in preparation of month end accounts to a strict timetable End to end completion of smaller trading accounts, owning full P&L and Balance Sheet Prepare/ check all sales invoices by reference to internal information provided Preparation of fixed asset register and control account reconciliations Assisting with VAT/GST returns Support Management Accountants as required with statutory reporting and audit queries Support as required in all operational aspects of the department Assist in development of new systems and procedures where required Assisting with ad hoc information requests from senior management Qualifications & Experience Demonstrable experience in a previous similar role Finance Graduate, AAT qualified or CIMA/ACCA/ACA studier VAT and tax experience (desirable) Team-player Strong Excel skills Demonstrate team and communication skills Ability to take ownership and show initiative Detail oriented, strong organisational skills with the ability to handle different priorities across multiple areas Desire to continually learn and develop own skills Benefits: 9am-5pm Pension scheme Eyecare vouchers Cycle to work scheme Long service awards Free car parking Staff discount scheme This job was originally posted as www.totaljobs.com/job/86068306
