Credit Controller opportunity in Derbyshire with Breedon Group Hays Accountancy & Finance are excited to be working in partnership with Breedon who are a leading construction materials group in Great Britain and Ireland. Due to continued growth, which is in part due to recent acquisition they are looking to appoint a Credit Controller to join their team on a temporary contract, to be based at their state of the art offices located in the beautiful Derbyshire countryside. Due to the nature of their business you will be working with a high volume of accounts, across a range of customers, with key duties. As the Credit Controller you will be working within a fast-paced and high-volume credit control team which consists of 15, you will play a vital role in the cash-flow of the organisation, ensuring customer accounts are monitored and controlled effectively. This role will include management of sales ledger accounts, with key duties encompassing: investigating and recording queries from internal and external stakeholders; maintaining paperwork; running debtor reports for month end; and your key task will be chasing customers by telephone, email and letter to reduce debtor days. The successful candidate will possess previous credit control experience and excellent customer service skills and will have a desire to want to progress their career within Credit Control. You will be a credit control professional, with a friendly and diplomatic customer-focused approach which will be essential combined with an excellent telephone manner. Strong attention to detail, an investigative mind-set, plus the ability to work under pressure in an accurate and timely manner will be key. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook is required along with an enthusiastic approach to learning new systems and processes. CICM qualification would be preferable, although not essential.
