Papworth Trust has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join the team based in Cambridgeshire; currently Papworth Everard with planned relocation to Huntingdon in 2019. The position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £23,000 - £24,500 per annum . The Finance Officer role: We have a newly created opportunity for an enthusiastic, confident, motivated and committed individual to join our Finance Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day to day running of the finance team including the processing of income receipts, preparing cash and bank reconciliations, processing petty cash claims, setting up new suppliers and being the prime liaison between the Trust and its insurance broker. Our ideal Finance Officer will be: - Previous experience working within a multi-function finance department role. - Experience using a recognised accounting software and working across multiple ledgers. - Experience of using imports template to prepare and post large journals. - Strong understanding of double entry book keeping and financial accounting. - Strong attention to detail and ability to process transactions accurately. - Strong excel skills including formula's and PIVOT tables - Good knowledge of MS Office products including Outlook and Word. - Ability to work within a busy environment and prioritise workloads - Ability to resolve complex queries in a timely manner. - Strong communication skills with suppliers and the Trusts' staff.
