The Company Bell Bro. began in 1919 when Joseph Bell left the army and operated a delivery truck from Ashington to Newcastle with his own father. A haulage company - Bells of Ashington - was built up by his sons operating from Bedlington, delivering goods all over the country and sometimes in Europe. This was sold in 1996 to a local haulage firm. In 2001 a new opportunity presented itself: to become a Mitsubishi Canter franchise. Now known as FUSO, Bell Truck and Van sell vehicles and provide service and parts for this product. In 2003, they acquired the Mercedes-Benz commercial vehicle business to cover the Teesside / Durham area. In 2006 Bell Truck's after-sales team were recognised by Mercedes-Benz and awarded the After-Sales Dealer of the Year. Once again, the after-sales team proudly won After-Sales Dealer of the Year in 2014. The Van Sales team were recognised for their efforts in 2015 with Retail Team of the Year, Mercedes-Benz Financial Services Van Team of the Year and Most Improved Dealer of the Year. Leo Group, bought Bell Truck and Van in September 2017, and have recently opened a brand new facility in Aberdeen, representing Mercedes-Benz Commercials Vehicles and are known as BLS Commercials. Leo Group - a leading environmental, renewable energy and recycling company - trades as Bell Truck and Van in the North-East of England. Bell Truck & Van has sites in Billingham, Longbenton, Spennymoor and Stockton-on-Tees. The role Your role will be to assist the Management Accountant and Financial Controller in order to ensure the production of accurate and timely management information. Main duties:
• To provide Bell Trucks management with an adequate supply of information to ensure the present and future profitability of the organisation and to highlight any forthcoming issues.
• To maintain all administration processes for the business to ensure all debtors, creditors and stock are properly controlled.
• To ensure the daily system backups are carried out
• To act up on the systems daily error/reconciliation reports
• To assist in the preparation of monthly and annual accounts
• To carry out any other duties as may be required by the Company/MBUK in order to assist the company achieve it objectives
• To Maintain working capital reporting and Vehicle cash flow
• Responsible for supporting Credit card management
• Support the management of expense's & payments
• Providing Purchase Ledger cover
• Processing contingency documents and Filing duties
• Consolidated billing errors
• Responsible for Fuel analysis reporting
• To provide Management of the fuel cards
• Tyne tunnel top ups and reporting and Petty cash
• To assist with raising manual invoices and recharges and vehicle receipts e-mails
• Providing bank reconciliation cover
• To carry out all duties in an efficient and courteous manner and ensure all queries are dealt with promptly
• To attend company/MBUK meetings and training courses as and when appropriate
• To ensure that all paperwork associated with the department is completed correctly and passed to the correct department on time
• To adhere to time schedules and all targets where appropriate About You Ideally you will have a degree in accountancy, however the business will also consider your application if you have previous accountancy qualifications.You will have fantastic team working skills and be well organised. On Offer Salary £16,000, hours are 0830 to 1700 Monday to Friday. 23 days holiday, cycle to work scheme, continuous training and career development.
