Beverley REF: 4754 SG Financial Recruitment are working exclusively to recruit an Assistant Accountant for a small but global business based in Beverley. Vuba are the oldest distributor of resin bound materials in the UK, established and based in Beverley they have been around since 2009. They are the pioneer of resin bound DIY kits and pour of resin gravel binder. Vuba not only distribute products they are also the manufacturer of resin flooring and surfacing products such as, resin bond screeds, resin flooring, epoxy floor paints and concrete repair mortars. Their aim is to attract, develop and retain people by providing a career path and solid future within the company, this is an exciting time to join this growing organisation. As the Assistant Accountant you will report to the Director and be a pivotal member of the team working closely with an external accountant, helping them achieve their goals and drive forward process and system improvements. You will be responsible for; Production and follow up of customer invoices (we process around 400 customer orders monthly) Approval, processing and payment of supplier invoices (purchase ledger) Overseeing of credit control liaising with customers as required Assisting the external accountants with a number of tasks including payroll, VAT returns and month ends Working with the warehouse team to ensure invoices match receipt and supply of goods and services Identifying cost saving measures for the company EG. Insurance, Business Rates, Utilities and other suppliers Handling petty cash for the business Dealing with customer enquiries As the Assistant Accountant you will have experience working in a busy growing environment, you wont be afraid to get stuck in and assist the team with any financial or administrative duties. You will ideally have experience working on Xero and a good experience of Microsoft office inclusive of excel.
