Tax Analyst £40ph - £45ph 6-month contract Hertfordshire The opportunity has arisen for an experienced Tax Analyst to join a leading manufacturing company on a 6-month contract. Qualifications: Qualified ACA / CIMA/ ACCA with 5 years PQE gained within a commercial organization. Preferably Bachelor's degree. Immediate knowledge of US & UK GAAP. Tax proficiency both in Corporation as well as indirect taxes. SAP knowledge.
Responsibilities:
Support the execution of core in-country tax activities (e.g., tax planning & strategy, transfer pricing, direct tax compliance and audit support, USGAAP & Statutory tax accounting, etc.). Liaise with the tax system centre of excellence team, back office BPO, and RDC teams to support indirect tax compliance and audit support activities (e.g., data gathering & analysis and preparation & filing), while ensuring compliance with all quality / control requirements. Participate in tax related audits and prepare documentation / reports for local country tax authority requests.
• Update Tax process flows, operating manuals, training guides, and standard operating procedures as needed.
• Support Finance Leadership and partner with Regional / Corporate leadership to support, process improvement, policy development, and / or strategic initiatives (e.g., tax systems, processes, and / or policies). Coordinate escalation / identification of issues and advise Finance leadership of potential business and / or operational risks.
