Redmill Consulting are currently looking for a Financial Controller for one of our leading clients based in the Central Belt of Scotland. This a great opportunity for you to lead the financial accounting & payroll teams in a highly diverse & complex deadline driven environment along with being responsible for financial controls & compliance. JOB The job of Financial Controller will give you the opportunity to be involved with the following: Managing a team of 3 who in turn manage a wider team, this includes financial accounting & payroll Liaising with & building relationships with stakeholders Providing financial reporting & forecasting to influence decisions Optimising data analysis, financial reporting & financial processes Responsible for financial controls & compliance Delivering budget & forecasting cycles Responsible for the payroll operation, ensuring all staff are paid accurately & on time Overseeing sales invoicing & credit control function for all fee income including ensuring accurate & timely sales invoicing, effective credit control & debtor analysis Managing the provision of monthly & quarterly reporting for all business areas Ongoing review & optimisation of financial processes, controls & monthly & quarterly management reporting outputs, including monthly management accounts packs & board reporting Maintaining & developing automated & integrated systems & solutions Responsible for complex excel based budgeting, reforecasting, management & statutory (audit) reporting models Preparing annual statutory accounts, liaising directly with Auditors Overseeing the completion & submission of accurate & on time VAT submissions to HMRC YOU As Financial Controller you will be skilled &/or qualified in the following: Ideally a fully qualified Accountant (candidates qualified by experience may be considered) Advanced technical skills in statutory & management accounting Coaching & mentoring Demonstrable experience of payroll Demonstrable experience in sales Invoices & credit control Good people management & development Ability to manage multiple complex projects & processes simultaneously Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications, in particular Excel Excellent communicator with the ability to build credibility across all levels of the organisation & to distil complex technical information into clear simple messages Customer focused Strong influencing capability High level of analytical skills Should this role be of interest please apply by attaching your most up to date CV.
