Successful limited company based near Dereham (NR19) would like to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a 6 month contract. This could be full-time or 3-4 days a week. Reporting to the management accountant your key areas of responsibility will include preparation of and payment of Bacs runs, maintenance of UK based sterling and currency bank accounts (USD & Euro), intrastat and EC sales list reporting. In addition you will assist with monthly management accounts, balance sheet reconciliations and VAT returns. You will preferably be AAT qualified or part-qualified ACCA, CIMA or have the equivalent experience, have strong analytical and problem solving skills with good Excel skills.
