My Cheshire based client, a premier business in their sector who work with the most respected brands in the world are currently looking to appoint a Financial Controller. The key purpose of the role will be to drive improvements in business performance through financial analysis and budgeting/investment planning, providing advice and recommendations as appropriate. The post-holder will oversee financial reporting obligations in compliance with internal and statutory GAAP requirements and lead the site finance team. Key Responsibilities Delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting obligations in line with internal and GAAP requirements. Implement and maintain all financial controls and systems within the business Work closely with all areas of the business to improve efficiencies and business performance, through the provision, analysis and interpretation of financial data. Review P&L performance on a monthly basis, identifying and communicating risks and opportunities. Lead and manage the annual budget and re-forecast process. Support business analytics through the provision of timely and accurate financial data to facilitate decision making Review capital expenditure projects, ensuring financial justification, highlighting significant expenditure variances. Working with the operational teams to monitor and manage working capital levels. Lead the site finance team, ensuring business goals and objectives are communicated, and company policies and procedures are implemented. Manage training and development plans to facilitate succession planning. Candidates will ideally be fully qualified although those qualified by experience will also be considered.
