Along with having amazing brands, we have secured a long term agreement to allow us to manufacture a number of Mars Biscuit branded products & Cathedral City savoury snacks, we are also forming key strategic partnerships within the Retailer Private Label sector. In order to ensure we can continue to make fantastic biscuits, and to help us on this amazing journey, we are proud to announce that in early 2019 we completed the acquisition of a premium sweet and savoury biscuit manufacturer Thomas Fudge's. This will only increase our baking capabilities across a number of brand new sweet & savoury categories. As the new home of Thomas Fudge's premium biscuit brand, Burton's Biscuit envisage Thomas Fudge's as forming a key branded range across our existing product portfolio. What we are all about here? We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented individual to join our Bakery Finance team as Finance Apprenticeship, although the role is permanent, we expect the apprenticeship course will take around 15-18 months to complete. During this apprentice course, you will complete and become AAT Level 2&3 qualified and will spend 1 full working day offsite at college. We don't want to bore you with just a Job description about the role we want to tell you what it's really like to work for us? So let's start with ....... Why work as part of our Bakery Finance team? This position will support the Blackpool Bakery finance department in its active role of providing accurate Management Information to key stakeholders about the performance of the bakery. What does your typical day look like? Every day is different at Burton's Biscuits and this team is no different. At the start of the day, you may be taking part in weekly stock adjustments on SAP (Ingredients & Packaging), checking delivery notes and challenging discrepancies. Other tasks will range from packaging return adjustments on SAP, to adjusting bulk stocks daily, clearing the reprocessing list, to checking ITR transfer notes. Raising Purchase Orders and Goods Receipting, Contribute to the Period End process, including reconciliations, running GR / IR process and producing sundry invoices as well as tracking spend, in particular, engineering spends and assisting in the preparation of product costs. What are the key ingredients needed for the role? To be successful in your application you will have a grade B in maths at GCSE and a C in English and are a recent A-Level or college leaver. You will have good analytical skills and be an effective communicator. (Please note candidates who are degree educated already or have industry finance related qualifications will not be eligible for this apprentice scheme) Final part of the mix.
