This is a brilliant opportunity for a technical candidate who is looking for more commercial exposure. The role is newly created with a view to it being the number two position to the Group Financial Controller. The role will play a vital part in developing the team and providing commercial insight into the business. They are looking for someone who is ambitious with strong business acumen who can spot business needs.

Description
The key responsibilities of this role are:
- Managing the preparation of the group financial statements
- Providing technical accounting support to the team
- Acting as a key point of contact for the year-end audit
- Assisting in developing and training the team
- Develop and improve and statutory reporting environment
- Provide analysis into key trends
- Carry out ad - hoc reporting analysis for senior stakeholders in the business
- Analyse and review budgets and forecasts
- Provide analysis on KPIs
- Review of monthly management accounts
- Work alongside internal audit to develop and improve financial processes and procedures
Profile
The successful candidates will be:
- ACA / ACCA qualified
- Practice background
- Exposure to statutory accounts and knowledge of IFRS and FRS102
- Well organised and efficient individual with good communication skills
- Strong excell
