Finance Manager
• Fast-Growing Content Group
• £55-60,000 Bonus & Benefits
• Excellent Career Prospects This Indie TV Production/Distribution group is an employer of choice and their multiple award-winning & genre content is popular across the globe. Also highly acquisitive and in rapid growth they require a hands-on but commercially astute FM to manage the actuals & FP&A for their UK operations and global distribution business. Reporting to the FD this is a broad role working across the business in a fast-paced, constantly evolving but very rewarding and creative environment. Key Accountabilities
• Full responsibility to prepare Monthly/Quarterly P&L and Balance sheet, analysis and commentary
• Prepare quarterly forecasts and budgets and related FP&A analysis
• Consolidation of various international Entities
• Prepare cash flow for global distribution business
• In conjunction with the Finance Asst review royalty reports and maintain reporting in line with IFRS 15
• Liaise with treasury on FX issues
• Authorise approvals on Netsuite
• Assist with marketing in preparation of budgets and finance related queries
• Review payments on online banking
• Monitor intercompany and ensure transactions are up to date
• Liaise and assist UK Licensing director with budgets and licensee status
• Review quarterly VAT submission for HMRC
• Key point of contact with group finance and respond to queries
• Other duties as required by Finance Director Required Skills/Qualifications
• Recently Qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) with a minimum 1-2 yrs PQE
• Proven experience in managing the month-end process ideally in an SME or divisional environment
• Intermediate excel skills - vlookups, pivot tables
• Prior experience with accounting software and rights management database software is a plus (Netsuite, Quick Books)
• Prior experience dealing with multi currencies desirable
• Familiarity with VAT and with tax withholding practices preferable
• Proven capacity to contribute positively to team work
• Ability to both follow direction and work independently to effectively manage workload and prioritize activities
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills, oral and written as direct communication with clients and liaising with global finance team.
• Previous experience in distribution, television or other entertainment media is an advantage bit not essential.
