Part Time Financial Controller South Yorkshire Salary up to £45k FTE Ben Johnson Ltd is working with a growing South Yorkshire based SME looking to appoint a part time Financial Controller. Reporting into the MD, you will be supported by a team of 5 and will be responsible for management accounts and financial reporting including budgeting and forecasting. This is a role that can be comfortably covered over 3 days a week and is an ideal role for an experienced Financial Controller seeking a better work life balance within a personable business. Key responsibilities include: Manage the finance function Responsibility for the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts Prepare and publish financial statements Co-ordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting Support month end and year end close processes Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting Provide creative alternatives and recommend cost reductions and improve financial performance Identify trends and recommend improved actions based on analysis Project accounting where applicable Assist in the financial due diligence of new commercial ventures Ideally you will be CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or AAT qualified with the relevant senior level experience. You will have experience of working with general ledger functions and the month end and year end process. A knowledge of Sage and strong excel would be advantageous.
