Robert Half are partnering with a FTSE 250 listed business, largest in their sector and well known as a brilliant employer. This highly commercial business is based near Solihull and are looking for a new Head of Credit Control. The Head of Credit Control: Taking a holistic view of the entire credit process, including the consistent application of the credit policy across the team. Optimising the mix of group sales and bad debt losses. Overseeing the reduction in bad debt provision and bad debt write offs to or better than budget levels. Ensuring appropriate credit limits are set and maintained. Lead motivate and inspire the team. Agreeing and hitting targets for the credit control team. Maintaining and building the integrity of the department. Ensuring smooth end to end processes. Providing excellent customer service and actively demonstrate the group vision and values. Continually improving best practice. Full management of the Credit Control team. Identify threats and weaknesses and provide necessary. Be the focal point and driver for process improvements. Define strategy for the Credit Control team. Monitor and keep under control the businesses exposure to credit risk whilst optimising sales and cash collections. Deliver or better the financial budgets. Preparing plans for the Credit Control team. Assist the Finance team in proactively managing the year end audit process. Attending offsite meetings with occasional overnight stays. Candidate Profile: Experience in leading a large Credit Control team within a complex organisation. Experience working Business to Consumer (B2C) Experience setting, designing and exceeding KPIs. 10 years of credit control management experience. Considerable experience with customer negotiations; Degree or accountancy qualification preferred. Compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical and social requirements. Ability to drive best possible balance between credit risk and the business bottom line. Management experience including dealing with sensitive HR matters and training. Excellent people and communication skills. Inspiring and development of a team. Strategic planning and delivery of solutions. Making credit limit decision.

Salary:
