A full or part-time Bookkeeper position within a vibrant, growing construction company to cover for maternity leave from June 2019. The position will be on a temporary contract for up to 12 months. Availability from mid-June would be essential, there is flexibility for the successful candidate to start earlier if they are available. This is a multi-functional role and requires an individual with good experience in accounts administration and bookkeeping. Salary range shown is based on full-time. Part-time would be a minimum of 20hrs per week, with additional hours available. Typical duties will include: - Accounts & banking - sales/purchases ledgers, managing cash flow, allocating costs to jobs, maintaining accounts database, paying suppliers - Producing regular management accounts and other reports for the Directors and accountant - Producing and filing VAT returns - Calculating monthly CIS subcontractor tax and PAYE, filing and paying & Pension processing - Monthly and year end accounts - Managing relationship with suppliers and making sure all paperwork is up to date - Liaising with Directors and site management to get invoices signed off and keep costs under control - Staff Payroll & Invoice payments
• Must have competent use of MS Word & Excel (Intermediate Level)
• Must have experience of using Sage 50 accounting system & Sage Payroll
• Excellent communication skills & ability to multi-task
• Flexibility with additional working hours would be of benefit
