Senior Project Accountant Temporary initially until July 2019 Hertfordshire up to £300 per day (Ltd company basis) Our client a leader within it's field are seeking a Senior Project Accountant initially on a temporary basis within their head office located in Hertfordshire. The main focus of this role will be to support the Business Partner Operations in providing expert financial knowledge and advice to the Operating Unit and ensure best practice governance is in place. MAIN DUTIES: Production, review and presentation of monthly management accounts for relevant contracts. Ensure accounts are accurate relevant and in accordance with accounting policies. Through Project Finance and Commercial teams, ensure monthly and quarterly deadlines are met Ownership of project balance sheets - ensure monthly standard reconciliations are completed to required quality and that all backup is in place to support balance. All risk items / aged debts are escalated if necessary and conclusion driven through project team, with risk and opportunity items are declared. Assist with contract audits where needed. Ensure accounts are in accordance with agreements and that parent charges are being costed in line with agreement and in a timely manner Assist FBP Ops in the quarterly forecasting process to the point of preparing the forecast numbers ready for review. Ensure accuracy of phasing and pro-active management and control of cash forecasting. Main focus of the role will be: Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA not CIMA) Strong technical accounting skill set and 2-3 years experience - ideally in Construction or Infrastructure Reporting - P&L's balance sheets Forecasting Supporting Audits Some travel involved to sites across the UK, to facilitate deeper understanding and encourage interaction with the site based teams (mostly London but some further North) Fantastic opportunity for a Senior Accountant seeking their next challenging but very rewarding position Call today for immediate interview
