My client are the UK's largest Charity within their field. Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a Finance Officer to be based at their East-Manchester offices to support the various teams, with financial control, due diligence and financial administration of projects utilising the Projects Management System (PMS), exchanging information and ensuring consistent service delivery.

JOB TITLE:
Finance Officer HOURS: Full Time (40 hours per week less 30 min lunch break 37.5hrs )

SALARY:
Up to £24k D.O.E

LOCATION:
East Manchester REPORTING TO: Finance Manager/ Chief Executive Duties Ensuring the timely and accurate analysis of project and field financial information and the preparation of project status reports by; Preparing project status reports for each humanitarian project including specific cost analysis as required. Analysing assigned field office financial reports and follow-up queries liaising with field office finance staff and HQ Programmes staff. Raising International Transfers requests after review of the project financial reports. Tracks spending and produces financial reports for individual projects. Monitors and reconciles income and expenditure, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries on regular intervals. Monitors projects expenditure against budgets, prepare monthly management and project variance financial reports. Ensuring the timely and accurate processing of international transfer requests via; Timely and accurate processing of monthly transfer requests from field offices as per agreed procedures, to enable implementation of projects, and smooth running of our programmes, business continuity. Budgeting: To support the International Accountant in maintaining oversight, preparation and review of project budgets and project support budgets of field offices. To prevent overspending, ensure value for money, and smooth running of processes. Undertaking rotational roles to gain experience in each of the functions of international Finance, to broaden/expand skill set in order to further support dept. needs. Candidates will be qualified to AAT level as a minimum, ideally CIMA/ACCA, have strong working knowledge of financial reporting and preparation of statutory accounts, be well versed with Sage and be prepared to travel both nationally and internationally if required. Ample notice of such will be given.
