They are now looking to recruit for an Assistant Management Accountant to join them to provide support to the Property and Maintenance Services Accountant in budget management activities including budget monitoring, budget setting and the production of the management accounts. Assisting in the development, appraisal and implementation of new business initiatives, systems and processes to ensure an effective and robust financial control environment, you will support the ongoing development and improvement of financial monitoring and reporting arrangements to ensure such information meets the needs of users in a clear and concise manner in line with statutory requirements and the requirements of the company and its stakeholders. You will also provide comprehensive support to the Management Accounting team, retrieving and analysing data from the financial system, and feeder systems. You will also assist in the preparation of the management and final accounts for the Group and the Housing Revenue Account, ensuring prompt and accurate production of information feeding into these processes. AAT qualified or equivalent with aspirations to work towards full CCAB qualification (if you are not already doing so), candidates must have proven experience in contributing to the production of annual budgets, monthly management accounts and final accounts for a key service area or complex organisation and a proven track record of identifying and implementing improvements to financial services and resolving complex financial issues. Able to work with complex financial and related systems, with financial dependencies and interfaces, you must be capable of preparing, presenting and explaining clear and accurate financial information to a range of users. You will be required to work effectively, flexibly and efficiently to achieve tight deadlines.
