Working as part a of a member of a small finance team of 3 people with a business situated on the outskirts of Wakefield you will report directly to the Finance Controller and act as a senior member of the team is assisting with overseeing the Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger Clerks. The main duties and responsibilities are to include: Maintenance of bank accounts and invoicing discounting facility Maintenance of the fixed asset register Preparation and posting of month end journals including accruals and prepayments Monthly balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations VAT and ECSL Returns. Preparation of weekly payroll Provide assistance on Sales and Purchase Ledgers queries. Dealing with major customers and suppliers Organise / oversee the day to day running of Account Office. Undertake other related projects or duties as and when required by management This role will suit individuals who have the following skills and experiences: Experience working with multi-currency accounts Advanced Excel Skills (including pivot tables, lookups etc.) Be a highly motivated and focused individual who has worked in a similar role in a fast paced environment Positive and open attitude to work, strong desire to learn, develop and progress within the role and further. AAT Qualified OR CIMA/ACCA Part-Qualified would be desirable.
