Job Title:
Financial Controller Are you a qualified finance professional with your finger on the pulse? "Cash is King" Are you experienced in ensuring Cash and Working Capital are actively managed? Have you been responsible for the day-to-day running of a finance function? If you're available at short notice and are confident you can answer these questions, we'd love to hear from you The Challenge Managing a small team, your key responsibilities as Financial Controller include; Budgetting and Forecasting for Cashflow and Balance Sheets; Ownership for the production of the Monthly Management Accounts; Ensure Cash & Working Capital is managed and monitored daily/weekly/monthly; Ensure appropriate controls are in place and adhered to; Manage the AP process ensuring cash discounts are maximised and suppliers paid on time; Manage the AR process ensuring all debts paid; Complete VAT submissions. Who will you be working for? This is a large SME with a strong values culture. Recently refurbished offices in a rural setting. Free car parking on site. What are we looking for in you? You are a qualified accountant (preferably ACA/ACCA or equivalent); Ideally, experienced in a competitive, fast-paced industry; Ability to lead, coach and manage a team; A successful track record of managing cash & working capital. Available to start at short notice and commit to a 4-6 month temporary period with the possibility of the role being made permanent (but this is not an essential requirement of the candidate).
