£50-60,000 bonus benefits Our market-leading niche Client is seeking an individual with sound technical skills, with passion and drive, great team leadership skills with the ability to innovate and drive future performance You will be responsible to plan and perform senior accounting functions in all areas of cost, inventory and general accounting for the organisation for our niche Client.Heavy involvement in monthly reporting of sales, costs of sales and operating expenses and in the preparation of margin analysis for service and engineering maintenance and breakdowns.The individual will be the owner for inventory & analysis and reporting, driving internal control and compliance requirements and in completing -projects for the organisation. The business is also undertaking some acquisition activity which the candidate may be involved in alongside the Finance Director. Both you and your team will produce accurate & timely financial results and interpreting and analysing results for executives, and the management team including preparation of monthly close call templates.The individual will be expected to assist in the maintenance of adequate accounting and financial controls and in strengthening controls where necessary to safeguard company assets.Additionally, the role involves direct support of the Management teams with timely and accurate information in making investment and other operational decisions. We are also looking for an individual with future potential which means we want a career focused individual The role: To take overall responsibility for the completion of the monthly management accounts, budgeting and forecasting processes of the Group and to undertake key management accounting tasks including monthly profitability and variance analysis. To act as a leader to the Finance team and to manage the work of the Finance team. To manage the working capital of the Group, in particular the levels of trade debtors and stock, in accordance with the parameters set by the board. To take responsibility for the production of year-end financial statements for the Group. To liaise with the auditors and other professional advisors. To manage and develop the financial systems of the Group. To develop and implement financial policies and procedures. To oversee the payroll so that all payroll activities are compliant with relevant laws. To respond to ad hoc requests for information and data from the board, commercial team, account managers etc, as required. To oversee all activities related to HMRC tax compliance issues. Coordination and planning of the cost accounting function in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies for accurate cost, inventory and Legal Entity Reporting. Responsible for setting new standards for the organisation Develops implements and maintains entity inventory control and cost tracking system capable of providing management with period-by-period financial data on cost, identifying variance from established standards by cause, product line and model. Responsible for financial reporting for management relating to scrap, customer order vs installation variances, financial metrics, and other account analysis as required. The person: Educated to degree-level ACCA or CIMA qualified Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience in financial management role, within a commercial, manufacturing or business service organisation Strong understanding of relevant tax matters Proficiency with accounting software, preferably Sage or similar enterprise accounting systems Excellent verbal skills required to communicate, present ideas, concepts and solutions to all level of employees Demonstrated ability and verifiable track record of performing the above functions. Evidence of significant and progressively responsible experience in general accounting, cost accounting and accounting analysis within a manufacturing environment. Must be able to schedule and organise time to efficiently complete tasks Must be able to handle multiple tasks and to organize and prioritise workload Is able to develop a strong financial team by providing leadership and individual coaching and professional development to the finance team members. Operates as a coach with a management style that builds trust, provides timely guidance and feedback and develops a culture that values innovation and excellence.
