This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute Financial Controller to join a local business on a permanent basis. The role You will lead develop and manage a team of c. 5 staff, with responsibility for providing financial control and a management accounting service to the business. Key responsibilities will include: All reporting and controlling responsibilities which includes the preparation of financial statements and reports to meet management and statutory requirements. Liaison with external and internal auditors, and the regular review and resolution of audit recommendations as well as liaison with other bank and insurance providers. Accurate and timely preparation of monthly accounting statements Rolling P&L and cash forecasts and related commentaries to senior management Credit control, approving and managing day to day payments and receipts. Provision of financial, administrative and systems support to the non- financial managers, notably stock control, purchasing, transport and customer service. Engagement, motivation and overall line management Requirements You will be a fully Qualified Accountant (ACA/CIMA/ACCA), with proven experience of operating at a similar level or an ambitious self starter focused on developing your career and keen to progress your career within a reputable organisation where you can add value. You will be a good people manager with excellent leadership skills and will possess strong communication skills and will possess the ability to see the bigger commercial picture behind the numbers.
