The Role: This London based role resides in the Operations department reporting into the Head of Data Management & Governance. The role sits within a large Asset Management firm. The Junior Data Analyst will ensure accurate & timely data on the company's strategic investment platforms. The Junior Data Analyst will be responsible for creation and maintenance of securities. Validation and interrogation of data exceptions pertaining to various data attributes including but not solely prices, credit ratings, positions, market values, benchmarks, classifications. Understanding business processes and ability to document procedures The Junior Data Analyst role will also be involved in Management Information reporting. Participation in Group projects as a data subject matter expert. Meet with stakeholders to promote collaboration & understanding. Take ownership of small data initiatives. Collaboration with Data Management team in another office location in Europe with a view to aligning processes & standards Process re-engineering, review of current process - streamline, automate & improve. The Candidate 1 year Data Management or Data Analysis experience - within investment operations or a data management vendor. This role will suit a second jobber - someone who is fairly junior and keen to develop within data management longer term. Previous experience at a Data Vendor or Asset Manager with securities knowledge. Excellent verbal & written communication with a strong focus on quality & attention to detail. Good at problem solving & collaboration. An aptitude for learning & keen to ask questions. Adaptable & flexible approach to work. Confident with the ability to work independently & proactively.
