Job Purpose In order to achieve upper quartile Best in Class processes by 2020 this role is required to build, standardise and maintain GSK's R2R processes whilst optimising the Operating Model. Process Scope: Fixed Assets, Inventory and R2R Master Data Maintenance Functional Scope: All GSK finance organisations operating these processes Process & Policy
• Design taxonomy (Who does what where), policy and process for Fixed Assets, Inventory and R2R Master Data Maintenance
• Arbitrate on any proposals to change process or taxonomy
• Review and update policy to optimise the process
• Ensure controls are optimised to balance risk and efficiency System
• Partner with the Process and Systems director to develop a clear roadmap of ERP, RPA and Niche tools to optimise the processes.
• Delivery of RPA is a critical deliverable of this role as an enabler to driving more efficient processes Performance Management
• Following deployment of the COEs, ensure Performance Management Measures are in place and in use across all four processes. These will be used in the Ops Board to measure compliance Minimum Level of Job-Related Experience Required Experienced finance professional with R2R Transactional Process experience
• Strong experience of process optimisation and mapping
• Experience of governing process standardisation
• Experience of writing policies
• Experience of interpreting Financial Reporting Standards
• Fluency in GSK's finance processes e.g. worked on this process in FS or ICSS
• Understand the FS/ICSS/Genpact organisational structure
• Expert in GSK's E2E MDM, FA, IFRS16 and BSR accounting processes
• Some experience in transformation and/or change programmes
• Operated SAP for this process
• Ability to manage tasks, work independently, and proceed with objectives with some supervision Knowledge & Application
• Finance Knowledge at a qualified accountant level may be needed to interpret new financial reporting standards and how GSK will adopt them in terms of Process, policy, Taxonomy and system
• The job requires expert knowledge of process design and mapping. It will be used within this role to establish our approach to mapping processes across all R2R GPO. This experience will then be used to continuously improve our R2R Process Problem Solving & Innovation
• Alignment across the R2R GPO team of how we will map processes and at what level.
• Interpreting policies and process to arbitrate when two parties disagree on policy, taxonomy etc Interaction
• This role with routinely interact with Director level staff. They will interact at east monthly with SFD level staff to update them on progress and set direction.
• They will interact Senior FD and director level staff routinely as taxonomy and processes is debated. Multi-Cultural Requirements
• This role is Global. It requires the person to work with colleagues from across all countries that GSK operates in.
• It will work very closely with the BSCs based in US, Costa Rica, Malaysia and the UK Impact
