Compliance Officer - up to £55,000 Primary

London Our client is a financial services company based in London they are seeking to appoint an experienced Compliance Officer to join their team on a full-time basis. We are looking for candidates who have got strong experience working with Policies, Compliance and Risk. As the company's compliance expert, you will be responsible for reviewing, interpreting and supporting the client in understanding and complying with the various financial laws and regulations they're subject to in the UK & Europe. In addition to supporting the Business growth and operations in the UK, Luxembourg and France and covering compliance aspects in relation to products in various Markets including Bond Issuance, with a strong focus on Markets businesses. Our Client Our client is an independent financial investment management company with offices in London and Paris. They deliver investment strategies with definitive results to Private Banks, Institutional clients, Organisations and private clientele. They focused on selling exclusively their in-house developed solutions to Investment Managers, Banks, IFAs across Pan Europe. Unlike conventional investment companies, is a very flat management structure, with an entrepreneurial culture across board to encourage team work. The Compliance Officer responsibilities includes: Information and guidance: The Compliance Officer create and develop procedures and policies to meet the regulatory standards and requirements that apply to the firm's business across Europe. This will be used by the various business lines to stay informed of relevant regulations and procedures. Coordination: The Compliance Officer develops and oversees the management and coordination of the firm's relationship with the regulators. Surveillance and enforcement: The Compliance Officer monitors transaction records and conducts compliance reviews to spot potential areas of risks. The officer also ensures that the management team are alerted of improper conducts or failures to comply with regulatory or policy requirements. Other key duties include Corporate Compliance & Transactional Compliance. Skills and Experience needed Compliance Officer At least 2 years' Financial Services experience, ideally gained in a legal or a compliance function of an investment bank or a large financial institution or a reputable law firm. Fluent in English and French both written and oral Demonstrable working knowledge of material legislations conduct of business and market rules in jurisdictions in Luxembourg and France. Detailed knowledge of FCA and French regulations. Proficient in translating regulations into workable policies and procedures. Strong report writing and analytical skills Strong understanding or background of relevant Investment Banking and Corporate Banking products, Bond Issuance such as equities, derivatives, corporate finance, capital markets, risk management, cash and trade, and specialist asset and sales financing.
