About the role The primary responsibility of the FP&A Analyst will be to support the FP&A Manager to ensure the effective delivery of high-quality financial analysis, modelling and support to key stakeholders across the business to enable good decision making that will ultimately improve business performance. The successful candidate will be a self-starter with proven commercial acumen, problem solving abilities and the willingness to become a key cross-functional influencer. What you'll be doing Month-end Supporting the completion of the month end reporting, focusing primarily on the preparation of the Monthly Performance Report (MPR) and additional reporting requirements for Board Meetings. The MPR is the key FP&A deliverable and provides critical performance metrics and commentary for the senior business leaders and shareholders. The preparation and distribution of monthly reporting of OPEX spend vs. budget to cost centre owners across the business and working with them to identify key drivers for variances and potential cost savings. Developing and maintaining the TM1 models and associated output to support all month-end deliverables and tasks. Supporting the FP&A team and Financial Controllership. Taking initiative to make improvements to the month-end process. Preparation of financial Budgets and Forecasts Supporting the analysis and modelling requirements for budgets and forecasts across the full P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow. Developing a deep understanding of the complex customer agreements and associated pricing on the revenue and cost side. This requires business partnering with the Commercial Finance and Commercial teams to ensure budget inputs are accurate and understood. Taking a lead role in the preparation of the OPEX budget and being the key point of contact for cost centre owners throughout the year. Developing and maintaining the TM1 models and associated output to support all budgeting and forecasting. Assisting with the preparation of executive level reporting for the Executive Leadership Team, shareholders and other stakeholders. Ensuring processes are followed to maintain clear, timely, accurate, robust and effective Budgeting and Forecasting. Taking initiative to make improvements to the month-end process. What you'll bring The ideal candidate will be studying towards, or willing to commence studying towards an accounting or finance qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or CFA), as well as have prior experience working with BI accounting tools. It is desirable that the candidate also has the following: Experience in a FP&A role, or a role with translatable skills. Experience building and maintaining financial models in excel.
