Finance Analyst - Equity and Contracts London

Salary:

They now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Analyst - Equity and Contracts to join their existing team. The purpose of this position is to: The purpose of this position is to deliver timely, accurate and reliable management information including management accounts and ad hoc client reports and requests to the Clients for all Equity and Contract related matters and to ensure that all contractual obligations are strictly adhered to. To ensure that all client statements are correctly prepared per the contracts and payments made in a timely manner. To oversee, mentor and coach a team of 2 finance analysts. To meet with surveyors and provide a business partnering role within the remits of Equities and Management agreements. Key

Responsibilities:
Obtain an in-depth understanding of all equity and management agreement contracts between the company and clients. Invoicing clients, accurately and in a timely manner, for expenses and management fees to ensure efficient and quick payment by clients for this income Ensuring that statements strictly follow terms of contracts and are in line with the accounts and income is maximised and reviewing prior to submission to clients Actively manage the team depending on priorities and workloads to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and in a timely manner Producing monthly financial reviews for all sites and reviewing these with clients and operations managers where relevant and providing accurate supporting schedules. Responsible for month end processes related to Equities. Supporting the Assistant Head of Financial Reporting in ensuring that financial governance and control within the business is in line with group and shareholder requirements. Ensure all balance sheet reconciliations for any accounts related to the Equity and managed contracts are completed within deadlines and all appropriate actions are being taken to clear reconciling items promptly. Taking the lead in the audit process for all equity and managed contracts that require an audit and preparing documentation where required. To produce management information to proactively identify business performance and trends Perform a detail review of the accounting processes and controls Key player in supporting the group budgeting process as well as taking ownership and responsibility for the budgeting and forecasting processes. Supporting the Assistant Head of Financial Reporting in receiving any new contracts from Business Development Department and the on-boarding thereof. Work closely with and support relevant stakeholders in taking a data-based approach to decision making, proactively supporting client requests and commercial innovation Qualifications / Experience: Strong Data Manipulation / interrogation skills; Ability to take a high-level approach as well as obsession with detail; Strong IT skills to include: Microsoft Office Excel to advanced level Knowledge of OLAP tools, such as TM1 Ability to quickly learn new systems Oracle or similar is beneficial Team Player, flexible, willing to learn and drive initiatives forward; Ability to work under independently own supervision and with limited direction Ability to lead and mentor staff Multi-site experience useful Worked with high volumes of data Able to work with ambiguity and introduce processes where there are none. Translating complex questions into manageable solutions and communicate them simply Ability to communicate at all levels of the organisation ACCA, ACA, CIMA or QBE Strong academic background Multitasker and ability to handle pressure. Ability to build professional relationships with wide range of stakeholders; Ability to prioritise, work under pressure and deliver to agreed deadlines; The drive to pursue innovative ideas; Thoroughness, accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work; Service driven and professional; Enthusiastic approach to change.
