Financial Accountant Required for household Glasgow name. Are you an ICAS qualified accountant looking for the next step in your career? Fyte is working with a well-established household name based in Glasgow who are looking to add a Financial Accountant to their large finance function. The role is seeking someone who will become the technical expert on all financial accounting matters. This is a 12 month FTC with scope to be extended The successful candidate will be expected to: Prepare the annual financial statements including consolidation schedule and subsidiary accounts Liaise with the audit team to ensure progress is made in a timely manner and ensure all supporting schedules are provided to external auditors Manage year end timetable to ensure all required tasks are completed on time and to budget Management of month end for the financial accounting team, ensuring balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed and commentary delivered Support the tax and banking function ensuring cash flow is maintained Be responsible for the financial accounting processes and controls, identifying areas where controls and processes could be improved and implementing changes to make these improvements The successful candidate will fit the following profile: ICAS qualified accountant - strong up to date knowledge of the technical accounting environment in the UK Experience in a financial accountant position in a large, complex organisation Advanced skills in the use of Microsoft packages including Excel and accounting software packages Excellent planning and organisational skills, working to tight deadlines and in pressurised situations If you are interested in this vacancy please contact Laura Buchanan in our Glasgow office.
