Internal Audit has grown to become an integral business partner within the financial services sector and with that has come increased opportunity for those with Accountancy, Audit, Risk and Compliance skills. Across the industry roles have become further reaching, more influential and can open the door to increased opportunity and the platform to build operational knowledge of multiple business areas. In this position you'll play a significant part in mitigating any risks across the Credit and Model Risk function. This is a pivotal role allowing you to make a tangible difference to the bank's future, gaining invaluable experience in a large and complex organisation, and working alongside well-respected industry figures. You'll work with the Senior Audit Manager and business stakeholders to scope out audits, developing your understanding of the business's key risks and controls and formulating an appropriate and robust testing plan, before leading your engagement team in its execution. Requirements: Good knowledge of model requirements for IRB, IFRS9, forecasting and stress testing models as well as a practical understanding of credit risk modelling methodologies and validation. Demonstrate an understanding of model review or development of Risk Models ideally in a financial services organisation. Prior experience within Audit / Risk Oversight functions is preferable Ability to perform or oversee assigned analytical testing to provide assurance over accuracy of model outputs (back-testing); discriminatory power; overrides; stability analysis; and evaluation of input data. To be considered for the role you must be an established Internal Auditor, Qualified Accountant or proven Risk Manager, with a thorough grounding in risk management principles. Any specific retail banking credit risk experience would be hugely advantageous. Other identifiers of success will be: Experience of how you've successfully led a team in delivering complex projects while keeping a firm hand on budget, schedule and quality Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills The ability to assess and prioritise effectively, quickly establishing what's important The ability to effectively support and supervise your team through coaching, feedback and development, taking a proactive approach towards identifying and promoting talent
