Hutcheon Mearns are partnering with a leading independent E&P company to recruit an experienced finance professional into their Aberdeen based finance team. Our client is looking to hire an ambitious and driven individual into the role of Financial Accountant on an initial twelve months fixed term contract. Consideration will be given to motivated individuals preferably from an E&P background. Candidates much have a proactive attitude and display superior communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Excel skills are required and previous experience with SunSystems would be highly advantageous. Overview: Intercompany accounting Liaise with company's external audit function Assist with the development and implementation of company's policies and procedures Develop and implement system controls Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations Preparation of monthly VAT Returns Preparation of month end journal entries Assist with yearend accounts, preparation of statutory financial statements and management accounts Ad hoc duties prescribed by Financial Controller This is a good opportunity to join a progressive business during a period of increased activity and growth. Successful candidates will have great exposure to the Senior Management Team and will be part of the strategic direction of the company. Although this role is for an initial 12 months period, the likelihood is that this role will be made permanent on cessation of the contract period.
