Corporate Tax Director Guildford £85,000 flexible working Do you want a clear route to Partnership at a family-oriented firm that is widely considered to be one of the leading Practices in Surrey? This Corporate Tax Director opportunity is with a fantastic mid-tier Practice based in Guildford with 6 Partners and approximately 50 staff in total. This Director position offers a clear route to Partnership, the current Corporate Tax Partner is working on a part-time basis and looking to retire in the coming years, therefore the successful candidate will begin to take over the Partners portfolio as they wind-down towards retirement. The Practice is in the process of moving to brand new offices just south of Guildford city centre where they will occupy a first-class office space located on the first floor. The Practice will be taking one of the largest offices within this development, with floor to ceiling wraparound windows, a double height foyer and shower facilities for those looking to cycle or run to work. The new office is commutable by car or public transport with free parking on site and a free pass for the park and ride for those commuting by train which stops right outside the new office and is also useful for those looking to pop into town for lunch. As a Corporate Tax Director, you will play a significant role in running the Tax team, including organising the Tax department, spreading risk and allocating technical skills dependent on the project. The Director will play a significant role in managing client relationships, the successful candidate should be widely considered to be an expert in the field and there is an expectation to build relationships with both existing and prospective clients. You will be expected to have a substantial influence on the continuous expansion of the business, playing a significant role in winning new business which will include attending networking events. The Director will play a fundamental role in recruitment and will be expected to interview all new joiners to the tax team. The Director will be expected to invest both professionally and personally in every member of their team, assisting members of staff through their technical work, giving advice when needed and helping your team in their personal development which could include helping someone improve their confidence when facing clients. The Practice prides itself on delivering a very personal service, not only delivering on tax projects but complementing the business and therefore the Director needs to be a personable individual with good communication skills both written and oral. The Practice has great staff retention figures which I believe is a result of the care and concern Senior Management has in their team, coupled with some of the fantastic benefits offered, some of the highlights include: Flexible working Sports clubs, including a lunch time running club along the river, a football team and a golf society Free parking on site and a free park and ride bus pass for those travelling by public transport or if you wish to pop into the centre of Guildford over lunch Summer family day for direct family members of the team, with food and entertainment held off-site In order to be considered for this Director role, you will need: Extensive Corporate Tax experience managing your own portfolio of clients Strong communication skills both written and orally Strong leadership experience CTA/ACA qualified Personable individual who can work well within a team For more information, contact me today on: Tel: Email: The Pro-Recruitment Group consists of five distinct brands: Pro-Tax, Pro-Legal, Pro-Finance, Pro-HR and Pro-Marketing.
