Capital City College group (CCCG), London's largest College Group are an innovative grouping of post 16 education and training institutions in central London. The group comprises of Westminster Kingsway College and City and Islington College, who merged in August 2016, The College of Haringey, Enfield and North-East London joined in November 2017, as well as the Training Arm, Capital City College Training. Post-merger and following a significant period of change the Group are looking to appoint a Group Director of Finance. This is a pivotal role and a strategic hire for the organisation. About the role: As the Group Finance lead yo will provide leadership and vision in managing and developing CCCG's financial strategies and systems of financial control, ensuring the Group meets its statutory and regulatory obligations. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a fast-paced finance team of 26, serving eleven sites with approximately 1,750 staff. Working within the financial challenges of the Further Education sector, the Group are looking for an experienced Group Finance Director who can confidently advise the Corporation, CEO and Leadership team on the implications of the Groups strategic and operational plans, providing accurate and concise financial/management information. About the Person: We are looking for an ambitious finance professional who can demonstrate professional expertise, leadership skills and personal resilience to lead on the Groups finance agenda. You will be a CCAB qualified Accountant who has expertise in strategic planning and the management of complex finance systems and budgets. A track record of excellence in financial business planning in a complex, large organisation as well as significant experience of successfully leading a finance team are essential skills. As Group continues to evolve the finance team are developing the service to meet the needs of a growing College group. The successful candidate will have previous experience of overseeing rapid business change within a complex organisation and be able to shape the finance function to provide a culture and service of continuous improvement for our partners and executive teams. You will lead by example, bringing transformation and innovation to all aspects of our finance service delivery. Experience of the Further Education sector is desirable although not essential.
