Assistant Accountant - Nottingham - Cherry Professional - Interim/Perm Seeking an Assistant Accountant job ASAP in Nottingham ? This company has an immediate vacancy for a Financial Accountant who is interested in utilising their Accountancy skills initially on a 6 month contract basis. This role has the potential to convert into a Permanent role. You must have previous experience in Financial Accounting. This International Company will offer you plenty of opportunity to learn as the accounting function is responsible for a turnover of c£100m. You will be offered a Salary up to £25,000 per annum, with study support if you are made permanent. The Role: -Primarily you will support the Accounting Function with month end preparation, including preparing various month end reports and balance sheet reconciliations -You will Support the Management Accounts team with P&L reports, budget & Forecast information -Maintain fixed asset register and capital expenditure tracking -Perform Bank reconciliations for multiple bank accounts -You will approve journal entries -You will prepare and submit VAT Returns What the client is looking for: -You will be part qualified and currently studying towards AAT / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent -If you have knowledge of JD Edwards, Vision and IBM Cognos Controller this is an advantage -You will have excellent written and oral communication skills -You will be able to work to tight deadlines - You will be numerate and competent in using Excel/Word Cherry Professional are recruiting this role on behalf of our International client.
