An opportunity has arisen with a well renowned accountancy practice for an Audit & Accounts Senior Manager at the firms well-established office in Amersham. This position has an eye to the future, where the right person has the potential to progress to a more senior position. The overall function of the Audit & Accounts Senior Manager will be to assist the partners in the delivery of statutory audit and accounts preparation and to manage the audit department and trainees. As Audit & Accounts Senior Manager, you will have the following

responsibilities:
Manage a client portfolio comprising both audit & non-audit clients, liaising closely with the partners concerned Build and maintain strong client relationships with focus on delivering of exceptional client service Managing, motivating and coaching team members, providing regular feedback and supporting their development Involved in wider business development activity, building the brand across the region Supervise work of junior team members, provide technical assistance, undertake post-assignment appraisals and assist partners with feedback Attend to the preparation of client financial statements ensuring compliance with prescribed legislation and standards Liaise with other departments within the office and across other offices to ensure the timely exchange of relevant, client information Contribute to the provision of excellent client service by identifying efficiency-savings and maintaining effective client communication Recognise opportunities to help clients develop their businesses and maximise their potential Identify opportunities to provide additional services and liaise with other managers and the partners as appropriate The potential to participate in promotional activities run by the firm To be a serious contender for this position, applicants will satisfy the following criteria: ACA or ACCA qualified Extensive post-qualification external audit experience including proven track record of effectively leading client audit engagements Comprehensive understanding of key reporting standards (GAAP, FRS, IFRS) Commercially focused with the ability to deliver innovative solutions Strong mentoring, coaching and people management/development skills Broad knowledge of business taxation Good, all-round knowledge of Microsoft Office and accounting packages, particularly CCH Practice Suite and Proaudit Professional and approachable manner with effective communication skills Works well under time pressure and is used to meeting deadlines Organised individual who understands the importance of delivering excellent client service in a cost-effective manner Car driver with full, clean licence This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a progressive practice and the successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary and benefits, a supportive working environment and potential career progression in the future.
